This is an excellent workhorse fly rod. The blank is a 3k carbon twill that combines with the high intermediate modulus uniderectional material to provide a stiffer handle section with increased recovery rate and extra power flex focused in the perfect blended transition. The rod action and load distritbution begins in the unidrectional material which transitions into the carbon twill to provide better casting, hook sets, and fighting power. This refined blank combined with a lightweight carbon fiber reel seat and single foot chrome guides provides a rod that is light enough to fish all day, but powerful when it counts.
